Hi Esme, I use AppleWorks 5.0.4 with OS 9.1 and love it for all things text or Spreadsheet. It has Drawing and Painting built-in as well. It can convert pictures to JPEGs for you in a snap or convert your documents to attachments that your Microsoft friends will have no trouble with. I got my A/W 5 from a Mac OS 8.6 install CD. Of course you can also run WORD for Mac if that's what you are familiar5 with. I like AppleWorks better and it is quicker and not as bloated. I can also tell you how to join the AppleWorks email list. Browser. . . I use Internet Explorer 5.1.7 and it serves me well on ADSL.
