Hi Ben, Macolm et al, Thanks for the useful binocular observing tips. I have a pair of Orion 11x80 astronomical binoculars that I love but they are HEAVY. When I hold them manually, I can't stop the jiggling and my arms get tired in a big hurry. I read about a binocular support system in Sky and Telescope and bought one. With this support system, a whole layer of faint stars (and planet moons) becomes visible because the image isn't moving. Strongly recomended! This made my binoculars work the way they were supposed to.
