Subject: twitter, facebook and startdaemons.sh issue, please help.

I am wanting to utilise the twitter bridging and facebook components but am
having some difficulties.

I have been trying to get the Queues and daemons section of the Status Net
(version 0.8.1) from the README file.

3. In your config.php files (both the Web server and the queues

   server!), set the following variable:

   $config['queue']['enabled'] = true;

THIS IS SET as required

On the queues server, run the command scripts/startdaemons.sh. It

needs as a parameter the install path; if you run it from the

   StatusNet dir, "." should suffice.

I have tried running this using Putty (I have root and user access to this
server and have tried at both levels).

example of what putty is showing:

[email protected] [~]# cd public_html

[email protected] [~/public_html]# ./scripts/startdaemons.sh .

-bash: ./scripts/startdaemons.sh: Permission denied

Scripts folder - permissions 0755

startdaemons.sh file - permissions 0644 (in fact all files in the scripts
folder show permissions as 0644)

So my question is, are these permissions correct, and if not what should
they be?

Also if the server is running suPHP should the permissions be different to
what they are?

regards
