Ah, good - this is the kind of feedback I was looking for. I avoided
mucking with Notice::stream only because I found it daunting.
Leading off your suggestion, I've been trying to modify ::stream without
upsetting caching. I thought the right thing to do was to prune the $ids
array before it's returned, but I get no positive results (or results of
any kind) when I try this. Am I barking up the wrong tree?
