So the more I think about it the more I don't know why we're not using a web framework.
We're not doing anything particularly special, implementing an API, authenticating users, saving posts to a database, etc, etc. All of this is what frameworks do easily. The reason I'm bringing this up now that I was looking at implementing PEAR:Auth and while quite doable, a framework gives this out of the box. Also the roles and administration that's being implemented would be included in many frameworks.
