Hmm, our Twitter-compatible API seems to output avatar links just fine
and I haven't had any trouble with other clients...
Just installed latwit on my iPhone and hooked it up to my identi.ca
account, it's loading avatars just fine for me in the friends and public
timeline views. Which site are you connecting to? There might be
something funky about the API output or the avatar URLs maybe.
