I just want to throw my two cents into the mix with regards to
StatusNet. There has been a lot of interesting plugin suggestions
mentioned and I am sure the StatusNet core team are working on a lot of
improvements to the platform.
What I would like to add to this, seeing that StatusNet is now a
standalone app that anyone can run on their own server, is that we need
to learn from Wordpress.
There is a lot that can be done to make StatusNet better but, I believe,
it would be best to start with providing an administration interface for
'hosts' of their own StatusNet intsalation and this is where Wordpress
comes into play.
The folks over there has spent a heck of a lot of time, and are still,
to make the platform the best it can be. Is there currently an effort to
develop an admin section? Looking forward to hear everyone's thoughts.
