I think we've got that one fixed now (I'll push out beta update 3 shortly). You can put bugs & feature reqs in the main StatusNet issue tracker:

Second, dictionary auto-complete should be disabled for that field.
So it should! :) I'll poke at that again, the text field settings are a little wonky.
