The following are some grammar and minor changes recommended for p1619.1. Grammar: p 2: - 3.1 "is required to" vs "is recommended". Should either add "to" to "recommended" or remove it from "required". - 3.2.4 "preferably generating" should be "preferably generated" p.4: - 4.3: It says "The interfaces of these two transformation are as follows", then only shows the interface to the encryption transformation. The decryption is handled two sections later. Maybe "The interfaces for these two transformations are presented below and in the following sections"
Small changes: p.4 - The note at the bottom of the page is strongly redundant with the note in the middle of the page (para 5). Perhaps the two can be merged into the note in the middle? p. 5 - 4.4 Parameter limits: It specifies the minimum plaintext length (either mode) as 1 byte, but earlier, it said that authenticate-only mode was achieved by setting the plaintext length to zero. This table should either allow zero-length plaintext, or at least mention the authenticate-only mode. p. 6 - 5.1 CCM: The length of the AAD is contained in a two-byte field. Doesn't this mean that the AAD is limited to 2^16 bytes, rather than the 2^64 bytes specified in the "Parameter limits" section? Rob Ewan & Garry McCracken
