I and lots and lots of other people had exactly the same problem as
described with ST-Fax3.8 when it was first released. Active
Technologies then discovered the problem (a (in a whisper) /bug/ )
and quickly issued week or so later a corrected version of 3.8. I
wondered at the time why they didn't call it 3.81.

If you have only downloaded and installed the 3.8 update once, and
not recently, then I suggest you download it again. If this is the
prob., then afaic remember you have to revert to 3.7 before re-
installing the update. i.e. you can't install the corrected3.8 from the
bugged3.8.

This might not be the prob. of course.

I only ever print from the fax list. I haven't tried printing from the
displayed fax.

Btw, I /can/ print faxes, but I am no better off than you because
nobody can read them when I have printed them.

*** Vertical squashing ***

But then I only bought the most expensive modem there was from
Chris Wiles. Thought this would get me a fax system that worked
(sigh).

Oh why oh /WHY/ can't we have ST-Fax probz solved? I'd /love/ to
see this potentially EXCELLENT program working the way it should.

Active Technologies, where are you?
