ST-Fax fails to play back voice messages captured in independent mode. It frequently loses information 14 seconds into a message, which by coincidence seems to be the average time that callers take to get as far as leaving their phone number. Since ST-Fax deletes messages on uploading, I have to remember to interrogate the modem from its front panel and write down callers' numbers on a scrap of paper!
