Hello Chris,
Benny, this is dedicated to you, too. :-)
On 25-Sep-99 you wrote with subject [stfax] Re: Stfax 3.8 demo :(:

This does not change the fact that one might want to test SW more often than
only once. Imagin STFax3.8Demo fails during this single test. One might
then be convinced STFax would be bad working SW (which it definatly is
NOT). In this case one would not buy STFax4 anyway, as Benny now.
Actually, if I would have been able to test STFax only for one time to run
before it tells me "timeout", I sure did not ever buy it. But I did, cause
I could test it long enough to realize how good it works.
Seems like Benny did not have this chance due to some circumstances, and it
seems like he was not the only one with this particular problem.

This is similar to what we hear from every Amiga developer, HW and SW. Im
realy fed up with this. Nobody of us, users and developers, are heros.
Developers develope or not, users buy or not. I respect your efforts, but I
pay for a product not only because it was developed for Amiga, another
reason for me to pay is quality, functionality, etc.
We are a very small community and everyone should treat each other with the
commanded respect. Developers cannot develope without paying users, users
cannot buy SW/HW without developers. So, everybody shoul be treated right
in order not to destroy and disappoint each other. Buy or die is not the
way I want to be treated. If anybody gives us convincing products, HW and
SW, and if this is usefull for me, I will buy it. I did so in the past, I
will do so in the future.
Yes I know, you did not moan at me. I just wanted to speak it out. The
massage is, give us good high level products, and we will buy them. High
quality deserves support. This is dedicated not only to you.
BTW: Where is the challenge for the developers, if everybody was undemanding
enough to buy all and everything. ;-)
I know, you did not mean it like this. :-)

Im sure nobody asks for a demo of every single update. Ill take my right
to test STFax4 as soon as the demo is out. If this demo is able to convince
me, I WILL pay for an update. So, if it is as half as good as you are
telling us,
stay tuned for my order.
*And to Benny I say,*
get the demo of STFax first, and make your conclusion then. You might miss
something. :-)
