I believe that sportsters have a bug in the fax chip and my opinion is to
steer well clear. 

Business suffered terrific set backs because of faxing problems. My
opinion of USR could not be lower.

If I wanted a cheap modem I'd get a Pace (a classic one, not the message
one), they are cheap as Pace went under. Try morgan computers (I think it
is http://www.morgancomputers.co.uk or something similar)
