Hello all, I'm pulling my hair out because I can't seem to be able to get STFAX 4.5 to poll a document from a fax machine that I have polled from successfully before.
The things that have changed since I last successfully polled are: 1. It was more than two years ago (i.e. the remote fax machine might now be different). 2. I am now running with OS3.9 BB2, but have replaced serial.device with an older version because the OS3.9 BB2 version is broken. 3. I was using an old demo version before and now I am using the full version 4.5!!! It dials the number ok, it comes up with "negotiating the connection" and then comes up with an error message that says "An unknown error occurred" (or something like that). I have tried knocking the settings back to Class1 only, Limit to 9600 Baud (which worked 2 years ago) and even tried artser.device instead of serial.device. But I just get the same error message each time. Somebody please help... The number I am dialling is 0906 602 1694. It is the BCA (British Car Auctions) dial-a-fax vehicle list line and costs 60p a minute. With all the failed attempts I have had it has probably cost me a few quid already. Any help most gratefully received.
