GIC Housing Finance is a small Housing Finance company majorly owned by the 4 general insurance companies, Tata Houisng and Reliance MF, with an ownership of close to 70 per cent between them. The current market cap is roughly Rs 1400 crore. Earnings for FY15 will be around Rs 19 and company has a high dividend pay out of Rs 6 per share. On the expected numbers, GIC HF could trade upwards of Rs 325 by March 2015.
The corporate hands out loans with a ticket size of Rs 10-15 lakh and will be a key player in the low cost housing segment. The EWS segment more popularly known as the affordable segment will be a beneficiary of the PMs avowed call to provide housing to all. The market for small loans is huge, and will at some stage entail equity raiing through the Rights/QIP route.
