Hi,
My website has been flagged as a reported attack site by Google. I'm
having a very difficult time finding the malicious software and
finally did end up discovering it on one page, deleting it and
uploading it again. However, google still says its on the site. I
use a mac so I thought I would rarely have to worry about viruses
affecting it. The diagnostic page of google says,
Of the 2 pages we tested on the site over the past 90 days, 2 page(s)
resulted in malicious software being downloaded and installed without
user consent. The last time Google visited this site was on
10/09/2008, and the last time suspicious content was found on this
site was on 10/08/2008. Malicious software includes 5 trojan(s).
Successful infection resulted in an average of 0 new processes on the
target machine.
Malicious software is hosted on 1 domain(s), including
traffurl.ru.
I'm not sure how to go about it now. I have deleted the "bad" code I
found on the index page but can't seem to find any other pages that
contain the same code. I've now deleted and uploaded the site three
times. Is there anyway to find out which page the bad code is on so
that I can delete? Or is there any service that can help me
accomplish this? I am being hosted on 1&1 and my site name is
www.elephantresearch.co.uk
Thanks for any help!
