And I bet the guy who said it would listen to no such mitigation where foes who stand up to American military bullying - even invasion - are concerned... What sympathy, for example, may we suppose he is likely to afford a demonized Serbian policeman who articulates the horrors he probably survived in Kosovo... from KLA terrorists, pre 1999, before the TV "News" cameras rolled in and started to make their 'home-movies', NATO-scripted for mass consumption...? I tell you - none whatsover Interesting, isn't it, that such an (arguably) understandable (if feeble) qualification - whilst ALWAYS deemed to be "reasonable" if uttered by, say... a British or American soldier - is NEVER given the slightest serious consideration by those (USUALLY American, OFTEN British - ALWAYS accorded divine Western license!) selected to sit in solemn judgement on the human imperfections of most others under fire... Like some huge, one-eyed colossus, double-standards - otherwise known as "victors rights" - still straddle the world, just as they always have. What's "democratic" about that? What's "civilized" or enlightened about a world where might - above all - is (still) deemed to be "right"? Yet it isn't just the double-standards themselves... so much as the manner in which they are so shamelessly wielded by British and American arbiters - against all comers, to their own clear advantage - that is so frightening in its blind injustice...! That... and the inexplicable tolerance of it, with seldom more than a murmer, by almost all the rest of the world.
