I'm trying to install SXCE b86 on an Intel SS4200-EHW it has the sil
3132 SATA controller chipset. This motherboard has 4 SATA connectors
and one PATA on the motherboard. The only way I can get a device
connected to the PATA connector to be recognized is to put the ATA/IDE
configuration into "Compatible" mode. In testing this has significant
performance hit to the SATA drives which are also connected.

I don't have any problems making the configuration work under Debian.

The PATA device is an IDE Flash Disk Module, but I also tried a normal
IDE drive with the same result.

Thanks

Corey

P.S. I'm not sure on the cross posting policy, but should this also be
posted to the drivers list?
