If your a new linux user i'm hoping what im about to say comes
out right. I have had this happen as well but what i did was run XF86Setup from
to a newbie looks like a dos prompt and then read all the approriate stuff (its
a configurator for ya x windows which includes your mouse and keyboard) and keep
changinng your settings for your mouse until you get it right , youmay have to
re do your settings for you monitor and video card again tho
