I'll state up front that I'm quite a novice Linux user. I do know some
basics and hove some people around me that are pretty good with it.
That being said, I have recently installed Storm rain release with the
intention of making it an email server. So far I've liked what I've seen
with the OS, but (isn't there always a but?) I'm having trouble installing
qmail. When I'm running 'make setup check' I get an error when it tries to
compile ipme.c. It says, 'ipme.c:6: net/if.h: No such file or directory'.
The Qmail package is currently unzipped on my system under /qmail/qmail-1.03
and I have created the /var/qmail directory and setup the group and users as
in INSTALL.ids. That is the only error I recieved when running the make
setup check. I'm not sure if this means anything or not, but I'm trying to
include as much info as possible, there are no sub directories under
/var/qmail, nor are there any under /qmail/qmail-1.03. Currently I'm
guessing that I have either uncompressed Qmail incorrectly or that there is
something I need to setup inside Linux.
