The first time I installed Storm Linux, I had it
take over the entire disk. Everything went fine, installed fine, ran
fine. I'm still somewhat new, but not a total newbie and soon realized
that I still needed Windows, so I partitioned 75% to Windows /hda1 and 25%
to Linux and a swap paritions.
When I reinstall LInux(after installing Win) I get
through the setup great until I get to the part where it asks me to choose
additional operating systems.
I choose to add, and by default it label's it
Windows and chooses hda1. I leave
everthing else as default. When I click on next and choose Yes to write
changes to disk, it comes with the following error:
"There seems to be a problem with your lilo
configuration
Warning: device 0x0302 exceeds 1024 cylinder
limit
geo_comp_addr: Cylinder number is too big
(2805>1023)"
If I choose to not install LILO and continue with
the setup, I get an Invalid Partition table on reboot.
Thanks for any advice on how to setup Both
partitions, or how to get lilo on and running without this error
message.
PS, I search for the error message at google, and
it brought me to this users list, so I hope I'm in the right spot.
