Hey there gang!
Last week I did an apt-get update and the full apt-get upgrade.
I mentioned on this list that since that time, Storm won't boot up
with the graphical login screen (I need to startx manually now -- it's
okay except I liked it the way it was, really.) So I was told (thank
you all) to edit the conf file in the /etc/init.d/kdm directory to not
point to xf86config during boot up. Is this right? And, well, what
should I be looking for in that file because I don't see anything that
seems to point that way.
By the way, Storm is my favorite distro. I may have probs here and
there, but that's part of the adventure. Any info someone can give
me would be appreciated alot!
...One more thing (sorry)... I tried downloading gtk+-1.2.8 and glib-
1.2.8. When trying to configure glib, it says it sees glib-1.2.8 but
says I need to get rid of the previous version of glib already
installed. Okay, where is it? How do I do that and have glib-1.2.8
successfully configure and install? Will I have these same
problems with gtk+-1.2.8? Thanks again, gang!
