They have been unresponsive and i feel that my Stormix CD is corrupted. I
have searched the list archives and have foung no similar problems. Any

I tried to install the Storm Linux 2000 Starter Edition from the CD and got
as far as *Installation Source*. I chose CD and clicked NEXT. I got a dialog
box which read, *No CD-ROM was detected*. The dialog box only has an OK
option. Interesting as I could have not gotten that far without it

Hi Cliff,
When going through the Storm Install make sure that you have the Storm
Installation Disk #1
in your CDrom Drive at all times.
Ways to Install
Windows -- Boot into Windows and then place the Storm CD #1 in the
CDrom drive
On BootUp -- Place Storm Floppy Boot Disk in Floppy Drive and Storm
Install CD in CDrom drive and then hit the reset button

Ok, here we go again. I tried all of your suggestions on the computer i was
going to dedicate to Linnux. Did not work. I decided to try on my Compaq
5834, new last year. I still want to use the "D" drive which rules out
booting with the boot disk in the "a" drive because i would have to
repartition the drive. When i slip the CD-ROM into the drive while Win 98 is
running it does not autorun. I tried getting it up in explorer and tried all
the usual stuff in start, run. Other disks autostart when i put them in the
drive. I am getting very frustrated with this as i bought your product based
on the ease of installation and the gui. I only have until the end of this
week to solve this problam. Please give me a hand, Cheers, Cliff.
The first computer i tried the install on and the one i want to dedicate to
Linnux is a PC clone, Pentium 100, I have 1.76 GB free on drive D:\, 48 MB
RAM, SONY CD-ROM CDU33A with proprietary controller, Diamond Stealth 3D
3000, MS scrolling mouse. I have WIN 95 and other software on C:\
