Yes of course.

This is because your ISP probably has a DNS entry of its own it's trying to
enforce.

Usually a driver disk for the card. It should have a utility on it to change
the IRQ. but I don't think your problem is IRQ related.

Now that I know your setup here's what I suggest.

Grab a 486 and run a firewall service on it like Edge Fireplug
(edge.fireplug.net) or some other system. Use it as your gateway. Have the
FIREWALL dial your ISP to provide net access for your internal network. Then
your internal DNS should be fine. Though, in reality you don't need a DNS
for your internal machines, just entries in your /etc/hosts file work fine.

Alternatively, you might try getting DSL or cable (if you can get either in
your area), hook the modem up to your hub and do it that way.
