Hi gang. Thanks for the helpful responses to my previous posts about using apt-get to upgrade to 'hail' from rain. I would like to know if anyone knows what's wrong when I do a complete install. I boot from a floppy into the installation of 'hail'. Everything goes just as it should until it says it's detecting hardware. It then says "No PCI harware detected." and gives me the choice to click on either HELP or NEXT-->. That's where the install hangs. Completely. Nothing but the 3- finger salute can get me out of there. Does anyone know why this would happen? 'Rain' installs just fine. I don't have any other PCI hardware so it was correct in its detection. So why the hangup? Anyone know what would be the problem? Thanks again folks for all the help so far. You guys (and gals) are great!
