One other thing that you might want to check out. I've noticed a few
times when Linksys and NetGear, and 3Com cards grab irq's that
have already been assigned.
cat /proc/interrupts and make sure that the irq that the card has grabbed
isn't in use by another device too.
If so, you may want to tweak the "PNP OS" option of your BIOS, or even
resort to assigning IRQ's based upon slots through the BIOS.
