OK, I asked this question once, but it still annoys me: I have a Compaq
Presario notebook and since I upgraded to Hail, I can't make it to
automatically power off. I switched the kernel with 2.2.17 (from potato
distro), recompiled, installed apm and so on: battery meter, hibernation
it's ok, but not the power off. Some time ago, I've installed Corel Linux
1.0, which lacked the same feature, but some kernel workaround did the job.
What else can I do to make it work because I don't understand what's
missing?
The second problem is with eth0: I configured the network with SAS, but the
response is "network unreacheable" and no eth0 interface. I had more success
with ifconfig, but after reboot I have to do it again. How can I keep the
settings? Is it just on my machine or SAS still needs some fixing?
Also, I think there might be a bug in Storm Dialer: "Redial Attempts" still
"attempts":-) to connect even after succesfull login.
