Hi there group!
I got a new mouse the other day... one of those wheel mice. It
works fine as a mouse but have been unable to get the wheel-part
to work. At all. (It's a ps2 mouse, by the way.)
Hmm... I ran gpmconfig and boy did that mess things up!
WooHoo! First I have a pointer flying off the screen at even a wisp
of breath touching it, then it was dead in the water after I tried
gpmconfig again. It took some time to just get it back to where I
started... with a "functioning" mouse without a functioning wheel.
So what do I do? How can I get this mouse to work for "wheel"?
