 Usually kernel compiling problems are related to the CPU overheating
from what I've read and experienced when my fan was on the verge of
death.:-)
 Since I compiled kernels in hail I wouldn't think it's a library issue
unless you're running a mixed hail+potato .
 This was my logic which can be flawed as well .
