I don't think rxvt does transparency. You can have xpm backgrounds though.
Try something like aterm or wterm if you want a small foot print.
If you can handle something larger then I recommend Eterm. Use Esetroot
to set your background or just edit your ~/.bsetbgrc file appropriately.
