On the 3rd question, Storm comes with the RH printtool. That does a
better job of setting up a remote printer. Is this on a print server or
connected to another machine?

On the second question: Add this to your source.list file in /etc/apt

deb ftp://ftp.debian.org/debian testing main contrib non-free (woody)
deb-src ftp://ftp.debian.org/debian testing main contrib non-free

deb ftp://ftp.debian.org/debian unstable main contrib non-free (sid)
deb-src ftp://ftp.debian.org/debian unstable main contrib non-free

then run, apt-get update. BTW, you must be root to do all this. Also you
can check out the packages in advance at http://packages.debian.org
