I've got the same printer, running outstandingly in Storm. But, I am using
the postscript cartridge and 8MB of add-on ram. The cost of the cartridge
and ram -- both refurbished -- was only $40 out the door -- and weren't too
hard to find online. (I got mine from a place out of IL.) IMO, it was well
worth the $40 to upgrade and have a postrscript printer that now is
networked for use anywhere in the house.

Sorry I didn't get back earlier. Yes, I got it working with the SAS. I had
to use the driver for Laserjet II though. Since the printer only has
1024K, I had to use the low resolution setting (The printer will give a
memory overflow message otherwise). Print quality is good with text files,
and lousey with Netscape, StarOffice, etc. It will also print postscript
generated with GRACE and Lyx...still lousey fonts. There is a font
cartrige for postscrips, no longer manufactured though. The cost of
a memory upgrade and the postscript cartridge, unfortunately, is probably
more than a new laser printer, so for the time being, I just use it for
printing drafts, and go elsewhere for high quality prints. Let me know if
you get the other drivers working, though.
I have been tempted to use apsfilter, since I have used that in the past
with other printers.Version 6 was just released. I think it all comes down
to what is supported by the ghostscript ps emulator....again Laserjet IIp
and not IIIp. There is support for laserjet III* with delta row
compression and III* with tiff compression. Don't know if it will work for
