Hello All,
I am helping a friend do a SL2000 install in his
lab. He has a machine that is a WinME HDA that he
wants as a SL2000 HDB dual boot, two drives. The
install went OK but the re-boot fails eth startup
showing eth0 and eth1 as exactly the same cards
and assigning them IRQ 11. They are the same
cards, kind of. One is built into the motherboard,
the other is an add-in card. In WinME he uses the
PC as a proxy. In SL2000, he would rather not
re-create the proxy usability but needs network
connectivity to access the bioinformatics server
via SSH and run GCG.
Help!!
I have not tackled two NICs before in Linux and of
course he forgot to mention it before we started
the install.
