The kernel does not ship with APM (auto power management). You will need to recompile the kernel. If you are worried about screwing up, mv the file /boot/storm.conf to /usr/src/linux/.config where 'linux' is the name of the directory created when the source is unpacked. Now when you recompile your kernel make sure you check the options re: APM. If you leave the rest of the options the way they are, you will get the sasme kernel you had before only w/ APM.
