[SLU] debian non-US

apt-get update is failing when I use the line:

deb ftp://ftp.debian.org/debian-non-US stable/non-US main contrib non-free

in /etc/apt/sources.list.  Can anyone spare me a clue?  I guess
the ftp.debian.org part is wrong, but I forget how.  TIA
