[SLU] help with DHCP

Ok here's the scoop. I freshly installed Stormix 2000.. just today.. I have drivers for my network card (which is a DMFE).. so I go to the driver directory on the cdrom and type insmod dmfe.. this I'm assuming should insert the module into the kernel.. I then reboot my machine and am getting no nic access? I'm confused.. help!
