Both of these settings can be changed in /etc/X11/XF86Config.
You could run> XF86Config but you then have to configure everything in
the file again. Always make a back up of XF86Config before you start, in
case the new config does't work.
Its probably safer to just edit XF86Config and uncomment the line
in the pointer section for emulate 3 buttons.
Then to change the video settings run> xviddect
