Dear Otto

I have never worked for the coal or charcoal industries though I look
forward to doing so: maybe they pay real money. The problem with that idea
is that it may turn out like the CAGW business. It is often said that people
who do not accept the catastrophic AGW theory are all being paid by Big Oil.
I am still waiting for my cheque.

Maybe there is a coal and charcoal industry paymaster that pays everyone who
tries to burn their products cleanly. So far I haven't managed to make a
cent on either count. I have spent quite a bit of time on fuel efficiency
but the pay comes from people who want to save fuel, not promote burning
more of it. Interesting twist, eh?

I have noticed that the wood and grass industries are not paying much to
promoters of their products. This raises the question of whether one should
get paid at all if one is in the stove business. Maybe we should all work
for free. I tried it several times and my children complained a lot.
Something about clothes and food...

Regards
Crispin
