Dears stoves,
I want to intervene in the dispute. I offer a view from Russia.
2 / 3 of Russia is a forest. Trees live and die like any living creature. Human role is to care for the eternal life of the forest. We must cut down the old and diseased trees. We must remove unnecessary trees. We must leave a number of plants per unit area, which this area molzhet feed. We should care about the quality of the forest, its rocks. Judicious use of wood is useful to humanity and the forest. I watch the forest in the central regions of European Russia. A lot of housing have died as a result of severe war of the last century. People had no place to live. Authorities have allowed the clear-cutting. New wooden houses rescued people from the cold. Wood stoves gave them warm. Coniferous forests were cut down in a large area. Nobody cared about the restoration time. Thin and sick birch wood grown in these areas. This forest has an age of 60 years now. This wood is not suitable for serious technology. This wood can be used for the manufacture of charcoal. Cultural planting trees in this area will give a lot more green material than the rotten birch forest. Opportunities biochar is the possibility of increasing the green mass in the fields as well. I am confident that the Prudent Use of biochar will benefit the climate and humanity.
