Stovers,
I now finally have acquired an 85 lb Anvil. This is an American made
Fisher 2 piece with the date 1910 cast into the base. How fitting to have
the first charcoal forge heated greenhouse, work on a 100 year old classic
piece of American iron work. The tools of the great American industrial
revolution, were forged on Fisher Anvils.
I had used my upgraded wood and coal stove to heat and forge metal
before as a demonstration. Now I am going to start a serious hobby forging
basic tools and equipment. The greenhouse has not made much money lately, but
the forge might make up for it this winter.
Tom Reed it is good to see you back on the list.
