Dear Martin

There is no mention there of the fact that babies have a different response
to CO than adults. I wonder if perhaps the 250 figure is for young children
because the older lower figure seems to be right for adults. Just wondering.

The WHO is lowering the permitted CO from 9 ppm to 7 ppm for long term
exposure.

Traditional stoves, even ones with chimneys, can be a problem for living
area is they are leaky and the living area is not. Some interesting look
into this is going on in Ulaanbaatar to see what the effect of insulating
and sealing the buildings is going to have on CO exposure. The first tests I
did showed a definite rise in the maximum but they are still pretty leaky
and the CO does not persist. Putting on super insulating blankets
approximately doubled the CO.

Regards
Crispin
