I just checked: autoreconf -fvi regenerates these files anyway, and since strace cvs does not have *all* autoconf-generated files anyway (at least configure is missing), I assumed all users of the cvs tree run "autoreconf -fvi" or something equivalent. So I deleted these files altogether, as suggested by Mike. If it's wrong, let me know how do you use cvs tree. What do you do to have configure generated? > NB!
