Tim Fennell resolved STS-199.
-----------------------------
Resolution: Won't Fix
Fix Version/s: (was: Release 1.4)
I don't think this is the right solution any more. I think a better solution
would be to allow ActionBeans to provide validation information at runtime
either through an interface or some other technique, that would then allow the
validations to be varied outside of annotations.
> Refactor detailed validation logic out of OgnlActionBeanPropertyBinder into a
> ValidationHelper class

> It would be good to take the individual validations out of
> OgnlActionBeanPropertyBinder and move them into a support/helper class so
> that they can be re-used or assembled into different configurations more
> easliy. I could see having a set of methods like:
> ValidationHelper.validateMinLength(ParameterName, int length, String
> value, List<ValidationError>)
> or something similar.
