useActionBean incompatible with @Wizard

When trying to use the useActionBean tag together with a wizard actionbean (for
prepopulating a select box in the view for the first step in the wizard), a
classcastexception is thrown.
Removing the @Wizard annotation resolves this... should I revert to using
pre-actions in this case?
