The attached patch removes some unnecessary casts flagged by Eclipse's compiler.
Note that the comment about the cast in NumberTypeConverterSupport indicates
that the cast is intentional, however it refers to replace(String regex, String
replacement) which doesn't exist - the regex version is replaceAll(), not
replace(), so the case against which the casts try to guard against seems
nonexistent.
