This dies not seem to be Stripes related. Maybe you're sending an XLSX file
with the (wrong) file extension ".xls". Ensure that the data returned by the
StreamingResolution (I assume you use it) fits your file extension.
If you use Apache POI:
"HSSF is the POI Project's pure Java implementation of the Excel '97(-2007)
file format. XSSF is the POI Project's pure Java implementation of the Excel
2007 OOXML (.xlsx) file format." (taken from
