Mike,
Have you tried any other extensions to make sure the problem isn't 
limited to the stripersist jar file? Also, did you get the stripersist 
jar from sourceforge or did you build it yourself? I've had problems 
with the ResolverUtil when directories weren't included as separate 
entries in jar files.
