Curiously enough, when I turn logging up on net.sourceforge.stripes to "DEBUG", it behaves differently than when it's set to "INFO"! The problem seems to have something to do with the way it picks a type converter for a bean property. It's picking a different one when I have DEBUG logging turned on than with INFO logging.
