Jetspeed has an object (or perhaps interface) called "portlet". The idea
is that you can set up a subscription to a news (or other) service, and
put several portlets together to build a portal. 

The components package would be just the thing to display portlets, but
calling it portlets would be confusing given what we are doing over at
Jetspeed.
