If there are no objections, after the 1.0.2 release, I'd like to put both the current release and nightly build documentation online, so that both are equally accessible, through a new top-level "website" application as Craig suggested.
1) Park a copy of the 1.0.2 documentation and API in a subdirectory on our Web site (http://jakarta.apache.org/doc-1.0.2/ and jakarta.apache.org/api-1.0.2). 2) In the Nightly Build docs, nove the installation* and release* notes "down" into the user-guide. 3) Move the resource and kickstart FAQ pages "up" into the root website. 4) Seperate the user-guide and website into two "applications", struts-userguide and struts-website. 5) Update the copyright footer and sidebar menu in the user guide to include the version number or "Nightly Build" to help clarify what you are looking at =:0) 6) Post the Nighty Build user-guide under /userGuide on the website 7) Update the website application to include links to the Current Release (1.0.2) and to the Nightly Build user guides and APIs at Jakarta. 8) Post the new website application, which will now include seperate links to the Production Release user guide and the Nightly Build user guide. -- Ted Husted, Husted dot Com, Fairport NY USA. -- Java Web Development with Struts. -- Tel +1 585 737-3463. -- Web http://www.husted.com/struts/ -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For additional commands, e-mail: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
